Product Description

Once your child outgrows her rear-facing infant car seat, she's still required ride in a car seat or a booster for several more years to come. So rather than investing in a succession of seats and boosters, try the Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Toddler Car Seat, the only forward-facing car seat your child will need. Its five-point harness accommodates children up to 65 pounds, and its convertible booster/backless booster can hold children up to 100 pounds in weight–longer than most other convertible car seats.

The Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Toddler Car Seat (Matrix) offers:
  • Forward-facing car seat can accommodate children up to 65 pounds.
  • Conversion to back booster and backless booster for accommodating children up to 100 pounds.
  • Meets or exceeds US safety standards.
  • Integrated cup holder and side storage.

The steel-reinforced structure ensures your child's safety. View larger.

By removing the back, the Nautilus will accompany a child up to 100 pounds.

Versatile, Convertible Design Lasts through Early Childhood
The Nautilus features an extended five-point harness design that can accommodate children over the age of one, from 20 to 65 pounds in weight–a wider range than most other forward-facing car seats. As your child grows, the seat easily converts to a high-back booster and then, lastly, to a backless booster for a child up to 100 pounds in weight. A steel-reinforced frame and superior construction help to ensure safety and durability through years of use.

Built for Comfort and Superior Safety
You can rest assured that your child will have superior protection while riding in the Nautilus, thanks to extensive crash testing and a steel-reinforced structure. The car seat meets or exceeds US Safety Standards, including U.S. Compliance Standard FMVSS 213; the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), with peak Crash Force approximately twice the Car Seat Standard; and tests for Extreme Car Interior Temperatures. EPS energy-absorbing foam provides additional security and comfort.

As well as being secure and safe, your child will feel extra-comfy, too, with an easily adjustable head support, cushioned seat, and wide armrests; a cup holder and side storage keeps snacks and treasures close at hand.

About Graco
In 1942, Russell Gray and Robert Cone formed Graco Metal Products, in Philadelphia, PA. For 11 years, the firm fabricated machine and car parts for local manufacturers. In 1953, Gray left the firm, leaving Cone as sole owner. Cone decided to manufacture his own line of products, but had trouble coming up with ideas. Enter David Saint, an engineer, tinkerer, and stained glass artisan who worked for Graco. Saint, himself a father of nine, was intrigued when an associate told him how his wife would soothe their tired and cranky baby while swinging in a backyard glider swing. Acting on this inspiration, he went to the drawing board and 18 months of hard work later, the world's first wind-up infant swing, the Graco Swyngomatic, was born. Graco sold millions of Swyngomatics in the coming years, becoming one of the world's leading manufacturers of juvenile products in the process. Today, Graco is a Newell Rubbermaid company, with 1500 associates worldwide. While a half-century has brought many changes to Graco, their dedication and commitment to designing and manufacturing top-quality products remains, and continues on.

I see no reason for a pricey seat

We used Britax seats for our son, and when it came time for a booster we assumed we would do the frontier. Then, I stumbled upon this seat. Based on the positive reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I couldn't like it more!! It is vey well made and has the same excellent safety ratings as its $100 more expensive counterpart. I see no reason to spend an extra $100 just for the Britax name. This is an excellent seat.. I am off two buy another one for our second car.
I Feel Like My Daughter is Safe in this Car Seat

Review Date: September 3, 2010
Reviewer: Karon,
We bought the Nautilus over a year ago for our 3 year old daughter. She had previously been in a Britax Roundabout, but her younger brother grew into it. At this point I feel that the seat has some upsides and downsides.

Pros:

1. Versatile – can be used as a 5 point harness seat, a booster with a back, or a backless booster

2. Comfortable – My daughter has never complained about being uncomfortable in the Nautilus. She has fallen asleep in it numerous times and has traveled in it on trips as long as 4 1/2 hours.

4. Cup Holder – This is my daughter's favorite feature!

5. Cubbies in the armrests – Great for storing toys, snacks, and child-size sunglasses

6. Easy to loosen and tighten the straps

7. Seems sturdy and safe

Cons:

1. The buckle is very difficult to attach and detach! I almost always need to use two hands and as a mom, it seems like I usually only have one free! I much prefer the buckles on Britax car seats – they are so much easier to do with one hand.

2. This seat is wide! It takes up a lot of room in the car.

3. Heavy (I guess a safe car seat is going to be heavy)

4. A pain to take apart and wash. We've only done it once, but after that experience we made a "no eating in the car" rule. We don't want to have to clean it again!

All things considered, I do think I would buy this car seat again.

Super Seat

We really like this seat. We bought one for my oldest daughter almost two years ago, and we liked it so well that we bought a second one for my younger daughter. I didn't even consider looking at another seat, this one does everything we need. The girls love their seats. They sleep in them, and are comfortable for short or long trips. They especially like the deep pockets for toys and the cup holders. The harness is easy to use, and my husband didn't curse very much installing them, so I think that is relatively easy too (we don't have LATCH in our car, so have to do the seat belt and clip routine). I know you can easily spend a small fortune on car seats, but I can't see how a $[...] seat could be any better than this one. Oh, and the Dori color pattern is super cute if you have a little girl. It's kind of hard to see in the picture, but it's a light gray base with a lavender flower contrast pattern and pink piping trim.
Crotch Strap to tight

Review Date: August 29, 2010
Reviewer: Jennifer, Tucson, AZ USA
We originally decided to get the Nautilus because it had most of the features we were looking for and it was cheaper than the Britax Frontier. After less than a week we ended up returning it and spending the extra $$ for the Frontier.

Our biggest complaint was the tight crotch strap. My son is just over two years old and 30 lbs and already the crotch strap is under his butt. Upon reading the materials and contacting Graco you discover that once that happens you can no longer use the 5 pt harness and the seat MUST be converted to a booster. Not only is that not what we wanted but it is illegal for a 2 year old to be in a booster seat!

At the store we got out our measuring tape and Frontier's crotch notches begin where the Nautilus ends! I am convinced that the Nautilus is made for younger naive parents who don't realize how much (and in what ways) their children will grow.

If you have super skinny, rail-thin children maybe this will work for a while. If you have a normal child be prepared to buy another seat down the road.

6-year old has room to grow!

Review Date: August 27, 2010
Reviewer: rda mama, anytown, usa
I just wanted to add that my 6-year old boy was using a booster seat & switched to the Nautilus. He is about 50 pounds and on the highest harness setting, but he has room to grow in the harness. He actually prefers this seat to a booster as it is more comfortable for him. His only complaint is when he drops something in the back seat, he has to wait until we stop so I can get it for him and with the booster he could stretch out the seatbelt and get anything anywhere in the backseat. This is obviously what makes the seat safer for him though. He can clip & unclip all points of the harness himself, just as he would unclip the seatbelt himself when using a booster, so there really isn't any difference there. Sometimes, my 2-year-old sits in this seat and she is unable to unclip the harness, so it does have some degree of difficulty for the youngsters. I would definately purchase another one in the future!

Product Description

The ANGEL GUARD is a seat belt release cover which acts as a safety barrier that deters children from disengaging the seat belt buckle. In our surveys we have found that children disengaging the seat belt is an ongoing problem that many parents face. In other cases, an older sibling may undo the seat belt which is anchoring a nearby infant seat thereby compromising the safety of the baby. The ANGEL GUARD has become increasingly popular with parents of special needs children as they strive to keep them buckled in as well. The ANGEL GUARD is constructed of Makrolon GP,a high-tech plastic from Bayer. The material is 30 times stronger than acrylic,light-weight, and offers a high level of durability. Easy installation, it takes only seconds to install and disengage. Gray color. Pack of 2.

Fits MOST vehicles 1996 & newer. Not for use in buses.

White infant furnishing has always been extremely common and favored among moms and dads for the color and style it adds to your baby's bedroom. This shade is so well-liked for numerous reasons, the top cause is that it goes with each and every decor in any space and it's so pure and pristine that it is a natural colour to furnish a space for a new child.
