How can i encourage my 9mth baby to walk holding onto furniture?

i put my baby up to furniture( couch, her activity table) to hold onto , to play and try to walk along, but she freezes up and gets upset. she wants me right there with her,and she trys to sit down on me ( in my lap)

what's the hurry?? let her stay a baby just a bit longer. eventually, she'll start cruising & walking on her own. relax & enjoy parenthood.
