Is it safe to stain some baby furniture while Im 5 1/2 months pregnant?

I really want to stain a piece of baby furniture for the nursery.
I will be doing this outside. Is there a certain type of laquer I should avoid? Should i wear a mask?

Definitely wear a mask and make sure to avoid inhaling anything. I'd also make sure everything is well ventilated.
